Dragon Island Blue Pc

Couldn't find another thread on this so I thought I would start one.I thought it would be an interesting campaign to run if my players where dragons. However, instead of giving them the stat block of multiple Dragons from the MM, I decided it would be much more exciting to have them as a playable race.However it is much more complected that I thought. Super mario 64 hd. For example there are two sets of variables that change the mechanics of that dragon; it's colour and type (wurm, drake, occidental, etc).

And even more complicated, classes don't really function well on Dragons. A few might have aspects that work (such as a Barbarians rage or maybe a rogues sneak attack).

So now I have starting making 'Dragon Archetypes' that work as classes and it is a lot of work. I want to give my players the full customization that they would have if playing one of the vanilla classes and races but it proves to be difficult.So I am wondering if anyone else has worked on homebrewing a dragon race and how they went about it.(I will post my homebrew PDF that I have worked on once I get to a good stopping point so you all may critique it).
